Quad A is saddened to announce that Past President, Harlan Pollock, MD<\/span> FACS<\/span>, 8<\/span>2<\/span>, <\/span>passed away on September 30, 2020, <\/span>in <\/span>Dalla<\/span>s<\/span>, Texas<\/span>. <\/span>Dr. Pollock served as Quad A\u2019s board president from 2010 through 20<\/span>1<\/span>2<\/span>. <\/span>Prior to his presidency he s<\/span>erved as vice president for the board of directors and chaired many committees such as the strategic planning committee and standards committee. <\/span>During his presidency, Dr. Pollock spearheaded <\/span>the Quad A Patient Safety First campaign.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Dr. Pollock is remembered at Quad A for his warmth and compassion for staff and other board members and volunteers. He was a consen<\/span>sus builder who championed the organization\u2019s<\/span> mission of patient safety. Dr. Pollock conducted surveys <\/span>and mentored new surveyors <\/span>throughout the United States and in Costa Rica to e<\/span>nsure that <\/span>Quad A\u2019s reach extended to patients everywhere. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Pollock <\/span>retired from<\/span> North Dallas Plastic Surgery<\/span>, where he worked with his son Todd Pollock, MD FACS, after 44 years in practice<\/span>.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
