COVID-19 Public Health Emergency Expires

The declared COVID-19 Public Health Emergency (PHE), in the United States of America, expired on May 11, 2023.  It has been a long three years for healthcare facilities and the patients we serve domestically and internationally.

CMS provided accrediting organizations such as QUAD A, post-PHE guidance in the QSO-23-13-all Memo. We expect additional guidance from CMS on post COVID-19 related compliance requirements, survey expectations for accreditation organizations, and will update our surveyors and accredited facilities once the information is received. Until then, there are no changes. Please continue all previously established policies and procedures related to COVID-19 and infection control measures.

We appreciate all efforts over the past three years in adapting to the ever-flowing stream of changes intended to keep facility staff and your patients safe and healthy.

At QUAD A, our goal is to be your go-to provider for accreditation – always striving to be an effective, efficient, and easy-to-work-with partner that values education, reliability, and communication.
