We appreciate and thank you for your efforts to keep patients safe in your facilities and for maintaining high-quality care in your facility.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What\u2019s Our Focus?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"color: #243746;\">As part of the post-implementation phase, our standards and interpretive guidance manuals are living documents that we continually evaluate and refine. The Standards Committee is committed is meeting weekly to rapidly resolve high-priority&nbsp;concerns. We do not anticipate adding additional standards with new requirements (except for those facilities located in Florida,&nbsp;see below). Our focus is on:&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #243746;\">Clarifying standard language<\/span><\/strong><strong><span style=\"color: #243746;\"><br><\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #243746;\">Adjusting standard applicability across programs&nbsp;<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #243746;\">Refining the interpretive guidance language&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Communication of Corrections<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"color: #243746;\">To ensure transparency, you can expect weekly communications via email with links to a Technical Corrections Report (similar to the Technical Correction Report that was effective April 7, 2025). All changes will be consolidated into a single document on our website, organized chronologically with the most recent updates at the top. This approach minimizes confusion while we prepare for a full Standards Manual revision later this year.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Summary of May 19, 2025 Corrections<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #243746;\">Created <strong>new standard numbers<\/strong> with the same standard language for certain non-Medicare standards that were previously tied to a Medicare standard and when cited, came across as a \u201ccondition\u201d level of severity, which may prompt a follow-up&nbsp;survey incorrectly.&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"color: #243746;\"><strong>Removed applicability<\/strong> of certain standards for some of the Medicare programs as they have comparable standards.&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"color: #243746;\"><strong>Updated <\/strong><strong>i<\/strong><strong>nterpretive guidance<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"color: #243746;\"><span style=\"color: #243746;\"><strong>Added glossary definitions<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/dev8.quada.org\/download\/technical-corrections-to-standards-manuals\/?file=download_url\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Technical Corrections to Standards Manuals<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Florida Facilities<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"color: #243746;\">For those facilities located in Florida, we are updating standards to align with the requirements of the Florida Statutes and the Florida Administrative Codes. Please watch QUAD A communications for the timelines related to these updates.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"color: #243746;\"><br>Again, we thank you for your partnership as we navigate this phase together.
